At the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Aalborg University Business School a fulltime position as assistant professor or associate professor in macroeconomics is open for appointment from 1 August 2025 or soon thereafter. The assistant professor position is for a maximum of 4-year, and the associate professor position is permanent.
As an applicant for this position, you are expected to have a strong research potential within macroeconomics. You will be expected to actively participate professionally and socially in the macroeconomics research group. Your research must cover one or more of the following research fields:
Applicants are expected to have strong methodological skills, and the position will mainly contribute to the economics degree in terms of teaching and supervision but also other relevant courses at the business school and in adjacent departments.

Qualification requirements
Assistant professor
Appointment as assistant professor requires academic qualifications at PhD level. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment.
Associate professor
Appointment as an associate professor requires research and teaching qualifications at the level that can be achieved through the satisfactory completion of a period of employment as an assistant professor but may also be obtained in other ways.
It is a precondition that applicants have documented research at an international standard. In addition, applicants are assumed to have received supervision and pedagogical skills development and to have obtained a positive written assessment of their teaching qualifications
