Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Department of Communication and Psychology

Ved Institut for Kommunikation og Psykologi, Det Samfundsvidenskabelige Fakultet, Aalborg Universitet, er der fra den 1. august 2025 en stilling som lektor i personligheds- og klinisk psykologi åben. Det er en fuldtidsstilling med en tidsbegrænset ansættelse, der involverer en kombination af forsknings- og undervisningsopgaver. Stillingen er primært tilknyttet forskningssektionen Kognition, Udvikling og Klinisk Psykologi. I denne sektion er der fokus på at udføre forskning inden for disse specifikke områder af psykologien.

Den succesfulde kandidat forventes at udvikle og vedligeholde en stærk forskningsportefølje og udføre forskning og undervisning inden for mindst tre af følgende områder:

  • Personlighedspsykologi
  • Narrativ psykologi
  • Klinisk psykologi
  • Psykopatologi
  • Psykoterapi

Undervisningsmæssigt
forventes det, at den ansatte kandidat leverer undervisning, vejledning og tilhørende eksamener af høj kvalitet, som krævet på tværs af de moduler, der udbydes på bachelor- og kandidatuddannelsen i psykologi.

I forbindelse med undervisning skal ansøgere dokumentere:

  • Dokumenteret erfaring, færdigheder og præstationer, der illustrerer kapaciteten eller potentialet til at levere undervisning af høj kvalitet. Færdighed i at anvende forskellige pædagogiske tilgange, såsom problembaseret læring, projektvejledning, gruppearbejde, interaktive seminarer og forelæsninger.
  • Evne til at undervise, supervisere og bedømme skriftlige og mundtlige præstationer på dansk. Internationale ansøgere forventes at lære dansk inden for en overskuelig tid. Stillingen kan også omfatte undervisning på engelsk.

Aalborg Universitet arbejder ud fra en problembaseret læringsmodel (PBL). Dokumenteret erfaring med PBL er ikke obligatorisk, men det vil være en fordel at have sådan erfaring. Hvis du ikke har gennemført et PBL-kursus, vil det være et krav at gøre det inden for dit første ansættelsesår.

Forskningsmæssigt
kræver stillingen forskning på et højt internationalt niveau, og ansøgere forventes at have erfaring inden for et eller flere af ovennævnte områder.
Den ansatte lektor forventes at udføre forskning, publicere arbejde af internationalt anerkendt kvalitet og indgå i eksterne forskningsnetværk og samarbejder. Til denne stilling er interesse for forskningsledelse, samt vejledning af yngre kolleger og studerende, ønskelig.

In relation to research, applicants should document:

  • Proven expertise, skills, and accomplishments showcasing the capacity or potential to generate internationally recognized high impact research outputs and contribute to publications in global journals.
  • A research plan aligning with the research strategy of the Department of Communication and Psychology, illustrating the capability to initiate novel research endeavors.
  • Accomplishments, skills, and experiences underscoring the ability or potential to cultivate external and/or international networks and collaborations.

Demonstrated proficiency, skills, and achievements indicating the capability or potential to participate in endeavors beyond academia, fostering impactful research outcomes through engagement with non-academic entities and the public.
Experience with seeking external funding is advantageous.

The position is integral to advancing the strategic objectives of the Department, particularly in strengthening our foundations in the science of psychology. Essential research activities may encompass close collaboration and active engagement with fellow researchers within the designated research section.

Other expectations
Document experience, achievements and skills showing the ability or potential to work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and designated section as well as with colleagues at other departments.
Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
Participate fully in the day-to-day activities of the department and the section and encourage and foster a positive and collegial working environment.

An appointment as associate professor is a permanent appointment which includes an obligation to carry out research and teaching activities. To some extent, additional tasks may be defined by the University.

Qualification requirements
Applicants for the associate professorship are required to possess research qualifications at such a level as can be attained through the successful completion of a term of employment as assistant professor, researcher, postdoc or other similar positions. Applicants must document research at an international level. In addition, applicants are assumed to have received supervision and pedagogical skills development and to have obtained a positive written assessment of their teaching qualifications.

  • A complete publication list specifying publication types (monographs, co-authored publications, journals, etc.). All attached publications to be taken into consideration in connection with the assessment must be clearly indicated in the list. No more than ten publications may be attached.
  • In case you attach joint publications, a co-author statement must be enclosed specifying your contribution to the joint work. The co-author statement must be signed by at least one of the co-authors. Template co-author declaration.
  • Documentation of your teaching qualifications. Guidance Teaching portfolio.
  • Copies of your degree certificates (including Master’s and PhD certificates - both in english)

The application must be written in English.

Assessment
The assessment of applicants for the position will be carried out by an assessment committee.

Shortlisting will be applied. This means that the head of the department, with the assistance of the hiring committee, will select candidates for assessment. Candidates selected for assessment will then be informed about the composition of the assessment committee. All candidates will be notified whether they have been shortlisted for assessment or not.

Applicants who are selected for assessment will have the opportunity to comment on their assessment.

When the hiring process is completed, a final rejection will be sent to the applicants who are not considered for the position.
